Immune system balancing is a non-conventional treatment modality that benefits a number of disorders, especially including (but not limited to) autoimmune disorders.

Due to the complexity of the interactions between different parts of the immune system with various disease processes, which may be concurrently present, Dr. Weyrich strongly suggests not trying to self-treat using these techniques. It is also important to "test, don't guess" when applying these techniques.

In this treatment protocol, various foods, vitamins, herbs, and other nutrients and drugs are used to change the balance between different parts of the immune system, notably T-helper cells (TH1, TH2, TH17) and regulatory T cells (Treg) [McCulley2018].

Note that nutritional supplements and testing are not covered by most insurance policies, but may be eligible for payment out of Health Care Savings Accounts.
